Who we are

Motebo Technologies (Pty) Ltd (registration 2018/345715/07) ("we", "us") is a South African software engineering company based in Gauteng. We are the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. Our Information Officer can be reached at admin@motebo.co.za.

What we collect

• Contact form: name, email address, company name and the message you send us.
• AI assistant: the messages you type into the chat widget, together with a random session identifier and coarse technical metadata (such as IP address used for rate limiting). Conversations are retained for a limited period and then deleted automatically.

Why we process it

To respond to your enquiry, to operate and protect the AI assistant (including rate limiting and abuse prevention), and to improve our services. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for unsolicited marketing.

Where it is stored

Data is stored in Amazon Web Services infrastructure. AI assistant messages are processed by Amazon Bedrock to generate responses. We apply encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access controls and automatic expiry of chat transcripts.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may object to processing. Email admin@motebo.co.za to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
